I began learning the Nagaswaram at the young age of ten under Shri Paippu Vinod Kumar. As my first guru, he taught me the foundational lessons that have shaped my entire music career.

By the age of twelve I was already performing in temples and concerts, and have continued ever since. Alongside these performances I pursued a three-year diploma in music at Kshethra Kalapeedom, where I had the opportunity to train under celebrated vidwans including Harippad Murugadas, Vaikom Harihara Iyyer and Cherthala Ramakrishna Paniker.

A defining turning point came when I began studying under the legendary Nagaswaram maestro Shri Thiruvizha Jayasankar. Learning the intricate nuances of the art from him, I continue my advanced studies under his guidance to this day.
